Lawrence and Shirley Ellington moved from Cleveland, Ohio to Los Angeles
California with their children in 1979 to start a new life. While living there they
attended several events that would lead them to the City of Angels Seminary.
After graduating they helped create an organization called MECCA INC. This
organization was designed to discover the purpose in life and empower the
individual to live their dream. Rev. Shirley Ellington also headed up a group
called Women Helping Woman.
The Ellington's moved back to Cleveland, Ohio to be with elderly parents,
family and friends.Now armed with a glimps of a better world they decided to
do their part to bring it forth, so they opened the Discovery Center Inc.
